Brian McCarthy: Luminous Interiors

There's a bit of mystery when it comes to designer Brian McCarthy. When you head to his site, you'll see some gorgeous images on rotation but to see the complete portfolio you'll need a password.  It's like having a bite of a hot fudge sundae and then having it taken away.  That's where Luminous Interiors: The Houses of Brian McCarthy comes in to play - his first book and a chance to see much more of his work.  While this 250+ book is full of beautiful photographs of incredibly luxe and detailed interiors, including many double page spreads (which I love), Brian also shares a tremendous amount of background about the architectural and design choices.  So while these interiors are decidedly high-end, as a reader you're also picking up on ideas, tips and lots of inspiration.
