margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgOCmi9cckyddkQByD555eh9hetuXYP6jFdrEYTQM6c35rUDDoO9SYYCVGYM-6pinZWjnzaC5i9LivITkaejRbKFFOKuVi5rcppnvbpQip1362g3AMRP0d19FfLK6HczwSAv2KFIwds0UH8/s640/DSCN0381.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><br />The other weekend <a href="http://www.sweetcloverbarn.com/">Sweet Clover Barn</a> organized a special event, the Hometalk Halloween Hunt, with fellow antique/vintage stores  <a href="http://www.chartreuseandco.com/">Chartreuse and Co</a>, <a href="http://www.luckettsstore.com/"> Lucketts</a> and <a href="http://www.onawhimantiques.com/">On a Whim</a>.  Bloggers were invited to shop the stores, buy a treasure and then post about the creative thing they did with it. <br /><br />I'll be joining the link party later in October but I know for certain - even though I found 2 treasures - my use won't be creative.    I picked up 2 amazing runners at the <a href="http://www.chartreuseandco.com/">Chartreuse and Co</a> barn sale.  The Leopard by Stanton is 23" by 96" and was $69 and the 100% Wool Alex Papachristidis Thaleia Diamonds by Langhorne Carpets is 2' 8" by 10' and was $87!<br /><br />First up at the Halloween Hunt was a visit to <a href="http://www.sweetcloverbarn.com/">Sweet Clover Vintage Barn Sale</a> in Frederick - their tag line is fresh picks * inspired design * uncommon finds.  This is the view of the upstairs - the barn is full of great finds.<br /><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; It will be replaced with a long skirt that falls from the top edge underneath where the cushions rest.<br /><br />The 13 yards of gold fabric I had leftover (when I changed my mind for the family room sofa and used Kelly Wearstler's fern tree instead) will be used - but, it's not quite enought to cover the whole sofa!  So...<br /><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjgDmbaU4b5PexfzWAPSe2pB7rVNitQv44Yxac6N_ku9RfgxFKi9TR_dVLnO6L7VobeufQruxmna3V5Jm5gbccqDsk4kK1PyzqR3JGzOZf9Tub_CdHo-qfacrqQcHNYdluyCtjWH2695GI4/s1600/IMG_3195.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjgDmbaU4b5PexfzWAPSe2pB7rVNitQv44Yxac6N_ku9RfgxFKi9TR_dVLnO6L7VobeufQruxmna3V5Jm5gbccqDsk4kK1PyzqR3JGzOZf9Tub_CdHo-qfacrqQcHNYdluyCtjWH2695GI4/s640/IMG_3195.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>it will be combined with 8 yards of this gorgeous cut velvet from <a href="http://www.hauteonline.com/">Haute Fabrics</a> at $24 a yard. (it's a gorgeous Baker Furniture fabric!)  The velvet will go on the backs/undersides of all 6 cushions and the back of the sofa, which faces the window wall.  In the winter I'll be flipping the cushions for a two-fabric look.<br /><br />Can't wait to get it back from my go-to, best upholsterer in town, Mel at <a href="http://www.style-riteupholstery.com/">Style Rite Upholstery</a>.

They're brass with antiqued mirror at the back. <div><br /></div><div>Unfortunately, in the shipping the antiqued mirror broke on one of the sconces. So unless I can find a close approximation, I will replace the antiqued mirror with plain mirror on both of the ones for the bathroom and remove the curved wire to give it a more modern look. The brass will be cleaned and polished and the sconces mounted on the <a href="http://www.newravenna.photoshelter.com/image?&_bqG=6&_bqH=eJyzdA5K8nYq8A4wdzWpNA8qSqrwysnNcDI0dsm3MjaxMjWwMjQAAivPeJdgZ9vyxLLUYjUwO97Rz8W2BMgODXYNivd0sQ0FqSspcQ5JTCowrSw2UYt3dA6xLU5NLErOAAAeoB8i&GI_ID=">New Ravenna Wave Glass</a> that will surround the mirror above the sink vanity. On the site they mentioned it's "finished with a slight calendering to afford it a glossy and elegant appearance."
